  EnviroCap Locking Well Caps

EnviroCap locking well caps are attached to the top of well casing and serve the dual functions of preventing surface water from entering the well through the top of the casing and restricting access by unauthorized persons.


EnviroCaps feature an exclusive built in locking system that is completely sealed from the outside environment to eliminate replacement cost of failed padlocks due to rust, corrosion, and debris. Unlike conventional caps, EnviroCap does not come loose in the casing.

The EnviroCap cannot be opened without using the special magnetic EnviroCap Key (universal) which prevents unauthorised access to the borehole.

For use with loggers, envirocaps can be supplied with a 2mm diameter vent hole to prevent pressurisation of the borehole during logging. Please be aware this does introduce a small opening in the caps and consequently vented caps should not be used for permanent sealing of boreholes, particularly where flooding can occur.

Envirocap Well Caps

EnviroCaps are ideal for securing loggers suspended on cord or cable within 2 inch (48mm min ID / 60mm max OD) and 4 inch (96mm ID and 110mm max OD) diameter monitoring boreholes. EnviroCap locking well caps are attached to the top of well lining, and include a ring for suspending cable. They feature an exclusive built-in magnetic locking system that is completely sealed from the outside environment eliminating the need for padlocks. Vented caps are available on request. EnviroCap's unique magnetic locking keys are universal - one key fits all caps.
