Bailers - Weighted Polyethylene Bailers
|
Use for
- routine sampling from boreholes
- collecting samples from thin LNAPL (floating product) layers
Samples are collected by gently lowering the bailer into the water column and allowing water to fill from the base upwards through a non-return ball valve. As the sample is retrieved the ball will sink to the bottom of the bailer to close and trap the water. Sample release devices are provided to ease collection of samples without spillage.
See Sampling Accessory pages for cord, reels and other field essentials.
(For an alternative means of sampling from narrow tubes, consider using small diameter Inertial Pumps).
