  SPP-SK ACTIVE Skimmers

Floating skimmers collect LNAPL at the water surface which drains into the SPP ACTIVE pumping chamber. The ACTIVE pump then automatically discharges the collected product to surface each time the pump chamber is filled.

The pump chamber will fill and empty in the same way as any SPP ACTIVE Pump. For detail see SPP ACTIVE Pumps page. Both skimmers can retrieve product from up to 60 metres depth at flow rates of up to 170 litres per hour (SPP2/SK) and 300 litres per hour (SPP3m/SK).

All pumps are ATEX certified.

SAC-1 Pump Control Unit

The SAC-1 Pump Control Unit allows pumps to be indiviudally controlled at the well head. These units include an air filter with a semi-automatic condensate drain, an air pressure regulator with valve to control or isolate the air supply to the pump. Fluid discharges can be measured using a volume flow meter or isolated with a valve. Both the air regulator and volume flow meter are housed in a standard weatherproof housing.
