Standard Cable, Software and Accessories
The standard communications package for use with stainless steel suspension cable, includes software, infra red optical reader (suitable for use with all Leveloggers), and a choice of either USB or RS232 PC connecting cable.
The windows-based software, compatable with Windows 2000 and XP, is easy to use and upgrades can be freely downloaded via a link to the Solinst website.
Programming features include the ability to synchronise start times across any number of Leveloggers. There are several user fields for entering site specific and customer information. Measurement time intervals can be set from 0.5 secs (ideal for slug tests) and up to 99 hours. There are further programmable options for customising sampling schedules and which allow user-defined event-based options which capture only significant changes in water levels.
Perhaps amongst the most powerful features of the Levelogger software are the in-built compensation routines. The most common of these is to automatically compensate data for atmospheric pressure variation by reference to one barologger record. Other routines allow data to be referenced to a local datum (e.g. borehole collar or ground level) or a national datum (e.g. sea level) by reference to a single manual water level measurement. Further compensation due to immersion in higher density (saline) water is also possible. Temperature compensation is automatic.
A detailed manual is available with the software or can be downloaded as a pdf file.
Waterra can provide training, telephone and on-line technical support in the use of Levelogger software backed-up further with on-line technical support from the manufacturers.
Standard PC Cable Connections and Software
Leveloggers can be linked to a conventional desktop or portable computer with an optical reader and a choice of either USB or RS232 connectors. Unlike alternative transparent readers which diffuse and degrade infra-red signals, the Solinst optical readers are opaque and reliable. All packages include a CD with software.

Stainless Steel Suspension Cable
Stainless steel (316 grade) suspension cables are available on 100m spools. We supply 2mm diameter stranded cable which is suitable for most logging applications.
Two styles of rope grip are available for securing the cable ends. Both are simple to use. The flat style rope grip requirse a small spanner or adjustable wrench to secure the cable to a flat plate with two screw nuts. The cylindrical style rope grip feeds two strands of cable through a small stainless steel cylinder and secures these with a single grub screw using a hex key.

Manual Reels with Removeable Spools
A simple high impact hand reel which is useful for tidily retrieving loggers suspended on long lengths of stainless steel cable. Spools are removeable which allows several different lengths of stainless steel cable to be retained seperately and then deployed using a single reel body. Each spool can easily hold 100m of Stainless Steel Cable.

Torquer Well Plugs
Torquer well caps are a simple well plug incorporating two eyelets for securing loggers suspended on stainless steel cable.
For use with loggers, plugs can be supplied with a 2mm diameter vent hole to prevent pressurisation of the borehole during logging. Please be aware this does introduce a small opening in the plugs and consequently vented plugs should not be used for permanent sealing of boreholes, particularly where flooding can occur.
Choose a Torquer well plug to match your borehole ID (minimum borehole lining ID in mm is indicated in description). Torquer well plugs are capable of expanding in excess of 10 mm above their minimum diameter to provide a water tight seal. Padlocks are not supplied.
For more information on the full range see Torquer Well Plug Page.

EnviroCaps
As an alternative to Torquer Well Plugs, EnviroCaps are ideal for securing loggers suspended on stainless steel cable within 4 inch (~96mm+) diameter monitoring boreholes.
For use with loggers, Envirocaps can be supplied with a 2mm diameter vent hole to prevent pressurisation of the borehole during logging. Please be aware this does introduce a small opening in the caps and consequently vented caps should not be used for permanent sealing of boreholes, particularly where flooding can occur.
EnviroCap locking well caps are attached to the top of well lining, are water tight and include a ring for suspending cable. They feature an exclusive built-in magnetic locking system that is completely sealed from the outside environment eliminating the need for padlocks.
EnviroCap's unique magnetic locking keys are universal - one key fits all caps.

Levelogger Well Head Suspension Cradles
These aluminium wellhead suspension cradles are designed for Leveloggers suspended with either Stainless Steel or Direct Read Cable. Two 23mm diameter holes in the cradle base are designed to accommodate Levelogger Gold Direct Read Cable and connectors. The winged suspension arms can be pulled opened or closed to straddle borehole collars of between 80mm and 250mm in diameter.
These cradles are mainly used for temporary logging installations where security is not a concern or for attaching to borehole lining below existing security covers.
