Direct Read Cable, Software and Accessories
|
Direct Read cable allows Leveloggers to be permanently installed in an undisturbed position in the water column and the unit to be programmed and data downloaded from surface, making these installations suitable for longer term monitoring or where the very highest accuracy of water level measurement is required.
The windows-based software, compatable with Windows 2000 and XP, is easy to use and upgrades can be freely downloaded via a link to the Solinst website.
Programming features include the ability to synchronise start times across any number of Leveloggers. There are several user fields for entering site specific and customer information. Measurement time intervals can be set from 0.5 secs (ideal for slug tests) and up to 99 hours. There are further porgammable options for customising sampling schedules and which allow user-defined event-based options which capture only significant changes in water levels.
Perhaps amongst the most powerful features of the Levelogger software are the in-built compensation routines. The most common of these is to automatically compensate data for atmospheric pressure variation by reference to one barologger record. Other routines allow data to be referenced to a local datum (e.g. borehole collar or ground level) or a national datum (e.g. sea level) by reference to a single manual water level measurement. Further compensation due to immersion in higher density (saline) water is also possible. Temperature compensation is automatic.
A detailed manual is available with the software or can be downloaded as a pdf file.
Waterra can provide training, telephone and on-line technical support in the use of Levelogger software backed-up further with on-line technical support from the manufacturers.

Levelogger Direct Read Well Caps
|
Direct Read well caps for "2-inch" and "4 inch" borehole linings are available for suspending single or two loggers (one Levelogger, one Barologger) together. These push-fit over standard well lining. Both single and dual style well caps incorporate an additional 16mm diameter access port to allow the use of a water level dip meter without disturbing the logger. These are capped with a plug which can removed using a hex key. The Internal Diameter of these well caps is 59 mm (to fit over 60mm OD lining). The height of the cap above the lining collar when installed is 100mm. The Internal Diameter of the "2 inch" well caps is 59 mm (to fit over 60mm OD lining). The height of the "2 inch" cap above the lining collar when installed is 100mm. |

Levelogger Well Head Suspension Cradles
|
These aluminium wellhead suspension cradles are designed for Leveloggers suspended with either Stainless Steel or Direct Read Cable. Two 23mm diameter holes in the cradle base are designed to accommodate Levelogger Gold Direct Read Cable and connectors. The winged suspension arms can be pulled opened or closed to straddle borehole collars of between 80mm and 250mm in diameter. These cradles are mainly used for temporary logging installations where security is not a concern or for attaching to borehole lining below existing security covers. |
