The rugged construction includes a number of innovative features to ensure the accuracy and long life of the unit.
Tape Reel and Guide
The Level TAPE reel incorporates nylon reel flanges and hub, stainless steel fittings and integrated probe holder and tape guide (not included on units above 200m in length). The sturdy steel frame is coated in polyurethane for durability and has a vinyl coated carry handle for comfort. A stainless steel axle ensures smooth running of the reel and a grounding cable is included.
Kynar Protected Tape
The graduations of the high quality tape are printed in easy-to-read black print directly onto a yellow high tensile steel tape core which is then jacketed in Kynar to withstand attack from hydrocarbons and solvents and for easy cleaning. Tapes are available in lengths from 15 metres to 150 metres (customisable to 300m) and use a dog bone cross section to prevent the tape sticking to the side of the well casing.
Fully Submersible Interface Probe
The 16mm diameter stainless steel probe has a stainless steel shield at the end to protect the lens. The emitter at the tip uses a beam of infrared light to identify conductive water and non-conductive product. The fully submersible probe is pressure rated to 300m and is attached to the tape using a security link that prevents over stressing of the tape by releasing the probe in the event of it becoming stuck in the well. Replacement probe kits are available at minimal cost enabling simple, accurate repairs without the need to splice tape.
Electronics
The electronics module is a waterproof, fully encapsulated modular design that allows for easy removal for cleaning, decontamination and replacement. An internittant tone and light is used to signal water and a continuous tone and light signals product.

A padded carry bag is included.
Warranty
The Rugged Level TAPE 200 oil/water interface meter comes with a 5 year limited warranty with the exception of the probe which has a 1 year limited warranty.
