MiniRae Calibration Gases and Regulators (Steel Cylinders)
For calibration of Mini RAE Lite and 3000 PIDs either 100 ppm or 10 ppm Isobutylene gas in air is commonly used. For calibration of the UltraRAE 3000 benzene specific PID, use 5ppm benzene in air. All gases supplied by RAE are contained in 34L steel cylinders. A special hazardous goods charge applies for supply of these items - please ask.

For use with 34L steel gas cylinders, RAE supply either a constant flow regulator (CGA600 female thread, 0.5 l/min - Waterra part no: MR/R001) or a higher spec demand flow regulator (CGA600 female thread - Waterra part no: MR/R002), which has an instrument controlled variable flow gas discharge rate.
Gas Supply
Code Description
MR/G001 RAE Gas (Steel Cylinder): Isobutylene in air, 10ppm, 34L
MR/G002 RAE Gas (Steel Cylinder): Isobutylene in air, 100ppm, 34L
MR/G003 RAE Gas (Steel Cylinder): Benzene in air, 5ppm, 34L
MR/R001 Regulator - Constant Flow (0.5 l/min) for 34L Steel Cylinders (CGA-600)
MR/R002 Regulator - Demand Flow (1 l/min) for 34L Steel Cylinders (CGA-600)

Other Calibration Gases and Regulators (Aluminium Cylinders)
Gases can be sourced from any good scientific gas supplier such as STG (www.stgas.eu) who can supply disposable aluminium gas cylinders in variable sizes.

Please note: If using disposable aluminium cylinders, or for gas bottle sizes greater than 34L in aluminium or steel, a flow regulator with male thread is required (C-10 male thread, 1 l/min - Waterra part nos: MR/R004 or MR/R005).
Code Description
MR/R004 Regulator - Constant Flow (0.5 l/min) for Aluminium Cylinders (C-10, Male)
MR/R005 Regulator - Demand Flow (1 l/min) for Aluminium Cylinders (C-10, Male)

MiniRae PID External Filters
Supplied in packs of 5 or 10, these disposable external disc filters (0.45 µm,45mm dia) are an absolute essential when using PIDs to prevent contamination by dust, dirt or moisture (including rain). Filters push fit onto the end of the Flex-I Probe using the (supplied) metal connector. Two external filters are supplied on initial purchase - buy additional filters for ongoing use.
External Filters
Code Description
MR/F001 MiniRae 3000/Lite external filters (5 pk)
MR/F002 MiniRae 3000/Lite external filters (10 pk)

MiniRae PID Filter Tubes
Disposable filter tubes for better sampling results.

For working in high humidity environments, such as landfill sites, use humidity tubes to remove high concentrations of moisture.

VOC Zeroing tubes provide a simple means of calibrating the MiniRae instrument to zero by removing background concentrations of VOC in air (e.g in petro-chemical atmospheres). This will provide more accurate and reliable VOC detection from targeted monitoring points or zones.

Humidity and VOC tubes are supplied in packs of 10 and require a tube adaptor (Waterra Part no MR/F003) to connect to the tip of the Flex-I-Probe.

For benzene measurement use RAE-Sep benzene tubes for high accuracy measurements with the UltraRAE 3000. Supplied in packs of 5.
