TROLL 9500 Instrument Options
|
All instruments ship with a temperature and barometric sensors and the TROLL 9500 instrument can be customised with a combination of replaceable sensors for a variety of environmental and industrial applications.
Communication is via In-Situ RuggedCable using a coms device or simple wiring to an external progeramming / data gathering system. Win-Situ 4 and Flow Sense software helps improve the efficiency of data collection and management.
When building a unit to order, consider the following choices:
- Do I need logging, or will I be saving data directly to a RuggedReader® handheld PC?
- Do I need a narrow diameter (less than 2") sonde, or will a 4" diameter sonde be acceptable?
- Do I need pressure and/or turbidity? At what depths will my instrument be deployed?
- What other parameters do I need to measure? Parameters available are: pH, pH/ORP, High-range conductivity, low-range conductivity, ISE (ammonia, nitrate, or chloride)
Sondes are configured in one of two configurations (see adjacent images):
- "Sub-2 inch" sonde - Slimline (normal) style
- "Sub-4 inch" sonde - Expanded diameter when when turbidity/and or level sensors are required alongside RDO

TROLL 9500 Logging Base Units
|
Choose from a selection of 3 base units incorporating a logging unit within the sonde. TROLL 9500 LTS Offers the ability to include level, temperature and one additional Sensor, such as conductivity or dissolved oxygen (RDO), or pH. TROLL 9500 Professional Our most popular model, offfering great value for most applications. Allows for several sensors including conductivity/salinity, RDO, ORP, pH, temperature or level. TROLL 9500 Professional XP The most capable model offering all the features available on the TROLL 9500 Professional but also supporting XP ("Extended Parameter") sensors including turbidity, ammonium, chloride, or nitrate. |

TROLL 9500 Non-Logging Base Units
|
Choose from 2 non-logging base units. These can be used with external devices linked by cable for logging purposes (e.g. when used in an industrial plc system or with a laptop of RuggedReader® Handheld PC. Profiler Ideal for water quality sampling or profiling. Similar to the TROLL 9500 Professional but excludes memory or logging capabilities. Profiler XP Offers the same features as the TROLL 9500 Profiler with the option to use XP sensors. |

TROLL 9500 Upgrades
|
Should you decide to extend the abilities of your TROLL 9500 after purchase - for example by adding logging facities or for extended parameter use, this can be done simply and easily without the need to return your instrument to In-Situ. Several upgrade permutations are possible (see list below). Call us for further details. |

RuggedCables
|
Cable for the TROLL 9500 can be supplied in any specified length (up to a maximum of 210 m, depending on sensors chosen). A 2m cable length is commmonly purchased for shallow surface water monitoring or for groundwater monitoring using a flow cell. Polyurethane vented cable is commonly used for most applications (though if non-vented sensors are chosen for water level measurements, non-vented cable must be used). Select a cable below and determine the length required. These are most commonly used with twist lock cable connectors (specified separately in the following section) but can also be supplied with stripped and tinned wires for external process control use.
