  In-Situ RuggedCable® (Vented and Non-Vented)

RuggedCable® Systems are built to endure harsh environments while lasting for years. Titanium twist-lock connectors (2-year warranty) and Kellems® grip are included with every system.

RuggedCable Systems are designed for use with Level TROLL® 300, 500, and 700 Instruments; Aqua TROLL® 100 and 200 Instruments; TROLL® 9500 Water Quality Instrument; and RDO® PRO Probe.

Rugged TROLL® cable allows connection from an In-Situ instrument directly to a controller or logger for communication via any of the following:

- Top-of-well connector and RS485
- Modbus/RS485 wiring
- 4-20mA wiring
- SDI-12 wiring

Optional stripped and tinned wire versions are available enabling connection to telemetry, PLC, SCADA and alternative logger systems via MODBUS or SDI-12 communication protocols.

Twist-Lock Cable Connectors

Titanium Twist Lock Connectors are commonly used to attach either vented or non-vented Rugged Cable to In-Situ Instruments and communication devices. Choose cable with twist-lock connectors at both ends for most logging applications. See PDf downloadfiel for instructions on connections.

Stripped & Tinned Cable Connection

Stripped & Tinned Cables are prepared with the choice of a male or female titanium twist lock connection at one end (for direct connection to In-Situ logging equipment choose a female twist-lock connector on the cable) and bare stripped and tinned wires at the other. Wiring instructions are provided for the stripped and tinned cable ends for communication via any of the following protocols. • Analog (4-20 mA) • RS485 Modbus • SDI-12 • RS232 Modbus (with a customer-supplied converter) Wiring is instrument and twist-lock connector specific. Cable Extender

The cable extender is a titanium adapter for joining two lengths of RuggedCable® system fitted with female twist-lock connectors without signal loss. Bulkhead Connector

The panel-mounted bulkhead connector mates with twist-lock connectors on In-Situ® RuggedCable® system. It allows ready connection between RuggedCable and a thrid party junction box, logging device or instrument. It includes a 6 wire output with earth and vent tube. IP67 rated. Cable Spools

For cable lengths up to 30m in length cable is supplied in coils without spools (unless otherwise specified). For cable lengths greater than 30m, cable is wound onto either a small plastic spool (for cable lengths between 30 and 107m), a large plastic spool (for cable lengths between 90 and 168m) or an extra large plastic spoo (for cable lengths between 150 and 750m). Plastic spools are used for transport and storage of cable prior to deployment. For portable field systems a plastic or steel reel should be used. Spool size should be specified at time of order.
