RDO PRO - Rugged Dissolved Oxygen Probe

The In-Situ RDO PRO Optical Dissolved Oxygen Probe uses the latest technology to measure DO in demanding process environments. The RDO PRO Probe offers many advantages for monitoring DO in process applications.

Robust and Reliable
- Inert construction will not corrode in high salinity samples
- Insensitive to common interferences such as hydrogen sulfide, chloride, ammonium

Simple Design
- Requires only 8 to 36 VDC power
- No costly external transmitters or controllers needed
- Easy probe configuration
- Calibration coefficients are loaded into the sensor cap

Cost Effective with Flexible Communication Options
- Includes complete instrument with a standard 10 metre cable
- Includes integral 4-20 mA, Modbus/ RS485, and SDI-12 signal outputs
- Eliminates the need for a separate, costly transmitter/controller

Accurate Results
- ±0.1 mg/L accuracy from 0 to 8 mg/L DO
- ±0.2 mg/L accuracy from 8 to 20 mg/L DO
- ±10% of reading from 20 to 50 mg/L DO
- Fast response to oxygen and temperature changes
- Consistent, reproducible results (< 0.05 mg/l reproducibility)

Applications
- Aquaculture operations
- Dam discharge applications
- Flood control systems
- Municipal or industrial water and wastewater treatment plants
- River and stream gauging and control
- Real-time remediation systems—pump and treat

EPA Recommends Approval of In-Situ® RDO® Optical DO Methods
The U.S. EPA has granted nationwide approval to three In-Situ RDO optical dissolved oxygen (DO) methods under the Alternate Test Procedure (ATP) process. These methods can be used in the measurement of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Carbonaceous Biochemical Oxygen Demand (CBOD), and Dissolved Oxygen (DO) under the US Clean Water Act.

RDO Pro Sensor Cap Replacement Kit
The RDO® sensor cap has a life of 24 months from the date of manufacture, or 12 months from the first reading, whichever comes first. To guarantee accuracy and a full 12-month working life, the customer should store the cap in its factory packaging prior to use, and install by the date printed on the label.

The RDO sensor cap is very robust and resistant to damage. A maximum storage time of 12 months prior to installation is recommended so that a full 12 months of cap usage is achieved. It is not advisable to stock a large quantity of replacement caps, unless your monitoring conditions necessitate this.

Caps are made-to-order. Typically, the cap will be delivered within 5-7 days from its manufacture date.
