  Coaxial Water Level Dip Meters with mm markings

The Solinst Model 102 Water Level Meter uses a coaxial cable with laser etched markings every millimetre. The cable reels smoothly, remains flexible, and hangs straight in the well. It comes in lengths from 25 m to 300 m.

A tinned copper-braided shield gives flexibility and a stranded stainless steel central conductor gives strength. It is easy to repair and splice. The cable jacket is of heavy-duty polyethylene for durability.

Whilst designed to measure groundwater levels in narrow diameter tubes and piezometers, the coaxial cable dip meter is equally at home for use in larger diameter wells or where a flexible cable is needed to snake past an in-well pump.

The Model 102 Water Level Meter uses a choice of two small diameter probe designs, fitted on a sturdy ergonomically designed reel. A standard 9 volt battery, housed in an easy-access battery drawer, powers the Water Level Meter. When the probe enters water the electrical circuit is completed, sending a signal back to the reel where a light and clearly audible buzzer are activated. The water level is then determined by taking a reading directly from the cable at the top of the well casing or borehole. A sensitivity control allows the buzzer to be turned off while in cascading water, and ensures a clear signal in both high and low conductivity conditions.

Coaxial Dip Meters mm marked - P1 Probes

The P1 probe is made from stainless steel. It is 6.4mm in diameter and 38 mm long. 12 stainless steel weights are beaded above the probe weighing a total of 70 g. These are ideal for accessing narrow diameters tubes, including multilevels.

The P2 probe is made from brass. It is 10mm in diameter and 38 mm long. 10 brass weights are beaded above the probe weighing a total of 130 g making these more suitable for use at greater depths.

Mini Coaxial Water Level Dip Meters

The Solinst Model 102 Water Level Meter uses a coaxial cable with laser etched markings every millimetre. The 25m cable is available on an easily transported Mini Reel. Weighted probes are available in diameters of 6.4mm (P1 - stainless steel) or 10mm (P2 - brass).
