PVC clear view disposable bailers are a simple inexpensive sampling option enabling straight-forward collection and visual examination of water samples. Samples are collected by gently lowering the bailer into the water column and allowing water to fill the bailer through the basal non-return valve. Sample release devices are provided to ease collection of samples without spillage. Conventional single valve PVC Clear-View disposable bailers provide simple inexpensive sampling options for samples collected from the top of the water column in a borehole.

Disposable clear view double valve bailers allow samples to be collected from specific depths (both valves close on recovery of the bailer trapping the water sample at the lowest submerged depth in the borehole).

When using double valve bailers for depth sampling we recommned the use of either a 150g or 250g ring weight.

Disposable hydrocarbon bailers are designed with a larger diameter inlet section to reduce surface tension. A single polyethylene (PE) ball valve is used which floats in water and sinks in light oil (LNAPL) leaving a product sample within the bailer. These bailers are simple to use, ideal for obtaining product-only samples and provide a visual estimate of product thickness within a borehole.

Manual Reels for Cable

A simple high impact hand reel avoids unsightly and dangerous trailing of cord on the ground during use. The reel can hold up to 100m of 3.5mm polyester cord, which is supplied separately in 50m or 300m lengths. The spool is removable, and additional spools can be purchased.

The Solinst Point Source Bailer is a high quality stainless steel double valve bailer with Teflon ball valves and Viton o-rings. It can be used to profile a borehole by taking samples at distinct vertical intervals. The bailer is emptied at surface by opening the upper valve then draining the bailer slowly through a sample release device into a sample container.
