  Ammonia Colorimeters

Ammonia is naturally present in water as it is a product of the protein microbiological decay of animals and plants, though high ammonia concentrations in surface and groundwaters are indicative of pollution from domestic of industrial sources, including landfills and waste water systems. The EU potable water quality maximum standard for ammonia is less than 0.5 mg/l.

Colorimeters work by measuring the amount of colour developed in water when a chemical is added. The strength of the colour that develops is measured and converted directly into an Ammonia concentration display in mg/L.

Meters are available on their own with 2 cuvets, battery and instruction manual or as ready to use kits housed in a robust attaché case complete with 2 sample cuvettes, cleaning cloth, battery and instruction manual.

Ammonia Mid Range Colorimeter and Reagents

For measurement of ammonia at concentrations of between 0.00 to 9.99 mg/L. Meters include a splash-proof chamber providing complete protection to the electronics from water and dust. A calibration check system allows a calibration check at any time while the meter is in use. Supplied as just the meter or as a complete kit with calibration check standards and housed in a robust attaché case, all you need to do is add the required amount of reagents which are available in both 100 test and 300 test pack sizes.
